Coclico, French for "poppy flower", was founded in 2000 by Sandra Canselier, a French expatriate living in New York. A native of Brittany, France, Canselier's family has been making shoes for three generations, a background that led Canselier to start her own line and open a boutique in Nolita. Crafted in Spain using sustainable practices, including using vegetable-based dyes, local suppliers, and recycled shoe boxes.
